Anthropologie, Regent Street

It's taken me about a month to post this, I get distracted easily. However, this post is all about Anthropologie, Regent street, London. My trip was in the half-term and I just wish I had unlimited cash because I'd buy everything in this shop!

I'd like to start off with a very simple fact and it is thus; I love everything about this shop. The amount of detail put into it is incredible. For instance, this floor list shows a rough idea of what's on each floor, but it's been hand made using multiple layers and prints and it's just damn cool.

- The answer is yes; who doesn't want a Paper Mache Bear on their dinner table?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
- I just thought this was cute, I like how they've gone to the effort of having the sewn line on it.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
- They have a wall of plants. Yes, they're real! I've been told that they get watered by rainwater from the roof or something like that...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
- Sorry, this photo is awful quality, but it's supposed to show these amazing lampshades that were completely recycled. The were made from all sorts like beads and bottle caps and things.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
- Any shop with dragon content makes me smile, especially when they're cute framed drawings like these!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
- I thought that the colourful wall looked really good because it was right next to an uber colourful bed! Plus, there were lots of drawing of exotic birds on the walls which gave it this awesome 'Urban Jungle' vibe.

- Recycling to the max! The bottles were so mesmerising! When I was paying for my mug (yes, I bought my 'A' mug!) I looked up and realised some of them even had paint drips on them to look like spilt wine.

- Last, but not least, on a chair that wasn't even for sale, they had bears... that I don't believe were for sale :') And that's why I loved this shops, all these little quirks that make it like a wonderland of discovery. It's how I wanted my parents shop to be, but there was never enough space.

All in all, I adore this shop, I'm so glad I went! I'd been following Anthropologie for ages and I was so happy when I found out they'd opened here... it just took me a while to get down to London to visit it!! So, if you're ever in London, or relatively near, or you just fancy a day out, drop in an spend an hour or so there :') I bet it'd be possible, it's so gorgeous. My mum gave up after about 2 minutes and sat on a sofa because she knew I'd be looking around for ages!

Mmmmm, friday! Means I get to see a certain someone tomorrow; things are looking up :)

More from London [Part 1]

Sorry about the horrendous lack of updates, I had a bit of a weird time, but it was excellent too :D

London, on the whole, was pretty damn good! We went shopping on Wednesday, totally destroyed my mother :)

First stop - Covent Garden

We went and had a quick look in Candy Cakes; I loved the look of the cakes and the window display, but the cakes were a bit too much for my [small] budget! They were so cute though, they looked like they came straight from a cartoon strip!

After that, I browed through many excellent shops and we came to a small craft-type fair. There was an odd but cool stand selling what I believed were phone charms, but they were quite big!

I wish I bought the Gold Dinosaur, it's so cute! I had intended on going back a little later, but we got distracted by The Primrose Bakery!

They make the cutest cupcakes, I had a chocolate one and my mum had a lemon flavoured one. Mine was beautifully decorated with a handful of coloured stars [yum!] and mum's had an elegant white flower which we managed to keep safe and is now sitting in my kitchen. They were actually a very reasonable price - two cake and a pot of tea (we had four cups from it) all for just £6.40! I was very impressed.

They tasted so good! At first, I felt really bad about eating it [because it was so pretty], but it was so worth it!

More tomorrow!!

Tuesday

I would just like start of by letting you know that my typing this is a great sacrifice. My brother's house is sooooooooooooooooo cold. I'm typing one-handed at the moment because I'm wrapped up in a duvet... That is a duvet without a cover... ahhh student life :')

Yesterday, Tuesday, was spent on a coach for nearly 3 hours, but it was worth it! It just meant extra money to spend on clothes :)
After we met up with my brother we went straight to the Haagen Dazs cafe for sorbet/ice-cream. My mum had the most luxurious chocolate selection called 'Chocoholic.' "It was magnificent!"

My brother had three scoops of raspberry and summer berries smoothie, chocolate cookie something and summerberry. My brother, ever the glutton, ate it really quickly and spent the rest of the evening pining over mum's chocoholic. It was excellent teasing him :D

Mine was very simple - raspberry and summerberries smoothie and Lemon sorbet. I don't know why I always get the lemon because I'm always disapointed with how sharp it is. The berry one was nice, it tasted like yoghurt :)

However, every time I go there I'm always fascinated by this awesome chain-link 'wall' between the door and the cafe. It looks like moving water, all swishing and wavy.

The journey back to my brother's was ok... bearing in mind it was flooding in the roads and to cross at a set of traffic lights I had to jump over a meter of puddle... splosh.

Consolation prize...? My brother has an attractive flat-mate :)

Pancake day :D

YUM :D

I'm going later today, so I have a few quick updates

1. Yes I made a sodding twitter account (I hate you Olivia) it is here
- I'd love to follow you, either on blogger or on twitter so tell me and I will :D

2. I'm going on a coach. Ew. I have no idea how long it's going to take, but ohmigosh, boredom will strike.

3. I dyed my hair purple, you can't really tell because it was darkish brown before, but in the light it looks awesome :D

I think that is all, however, it IS me so I've probably forgotten LOADS!

Je vais à Londres...

OR I'm going to london...

From monday to thursday/friday possibly. Yay!

I've been planning lots of place to visit including-

The Hummingbird Bakery
The V&A
The Haagen Dazs Cafe
The Anthropologie shop xD

I'm so excited, there will be lots of photos and pretty new clothes, jewellery and possibly a mug :D
I saw one in the Anthropologie shop that I really want :D

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It's only £3.99, which you could pay at Paperchase anyway (not that I don't love Paperchase because I really do!!)

So for the next week, posting will be erratic, but I will try to keep up :D

And, because it's London, there should be lots of cool outfits posts for the next few days!!

Wish me luck!

PS. My dress is going to turn up whilst I'm away... bad times :/

PPS. Happy Valentines! Once again, I'm all alone with nought but Tea and freshly baked Madeira cake... life's not so bad :D

23 Days To Go!

For a while, I've been following a website called Anthropologie. I love the styles shown and the elegant simplicity throughout the collection.

I was excited to hear of their first store opening outside of Canada, on Regent Street, London. They have a beautiful window display, and I hope to go visit it before Christmas. After all, where better to go Christmas shopping than London?

I've picked two pieces of jewellery that I love - A purple, Swarovski 'Collage Cocktail' ring. As it goes, the regal purple is perfect for this year's winter, especially as a nail colour, so why not carry it on to a ring that shines just as your nails do?

And these stunning turquoise 'Melting Glaciers' earrings are simply divine. The make me think of icicles and snow, which is perfect for Christmas! The colour is almost as if it were stolen from the deepest of oceans.

Trip to London

I went to london with my sister yesterday. So happy to be out of the house for a change.
We took a rather early train, so due to my sleep needs, I had to throw together an outfit dead quick, with improper shoes which I was really annoyed about. I would've worn some white, lace flat but it just wasn't to be... or I got them muddy by taking them out in the rain on Sunday with Livvi. But oh well, they'll be clean soon... hopefully. But I wore a blue vest-top with frills down the front, blue-denim mini and black tights. Plus a black scarf with white pattern which was my nan's so I suppose it must be vintage. Also, string of pearls and heaps of eye make-up. Sadly, there are no decent pictures, but I'll recreate it another day and take a photo in the mirror.

So we started off the trip by visiting the Tate Modern, and we walked through EVERY free gallery. Some off them were a bit dull... some "artworks" were literally just a canvas painted red all over. When we first walked in, I noticed this enormous empty space and couldn't resist a cheeky photo of me. I persuaded my sis to stand on some steps whilst I walked into this space and posed... Voila!

But then we got the tube and really quickly visited the V&A shop, we didn't have time to look at the beautiful jewelry because we were meeting our brother (but that just means we have an excuse for another trip!!) I bought the a gorgeous ring from the V&A shop, not all of my jewelry comes from the internet or my own handicraft.

Then we met up with my brother and had "lunch" in the Haagen Daas cafe. It was immense. My brother ordered their summer special;

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Mango Sorbet & and Brownie, Raspberry Sorbet and raspberries, Cherry Ice-cream with cherries and Strawberry Ice-cream with strawberries. The most extravagant ice-cream/sorbet combo I've ever seen. I had a scoop of raspberry and a scoop of lemon with the most indulgent raspberry sauce ever and my sister had two scoops of lemon with chocolate sprinkles... she's a bit odd like that.

Then, it was off to Covent Garden where we had dinner with three of my sister's friends. Annoyingly, I'm really fussy when it comes to food, so generally when I'm out and a meal gets involved, I stick to simple chips... but it was not to be! The restaurant we were in didn't even serve this staple of British meals! So I had to go for the Mixed Salad... which was vile so I only ate half and starved for the rest of the night, well... until my sister took me to Burger King on the way to the train-station.

It was a good day out in all fairness, only ruined by a rude woman on the Underground and horrible food, but then.. what can I expect... it was England!!
