Mermaid Nails

First of all, I was hit by the problems a few users had the other day posting, so I'm sorry it's been quiet but it's actually not my fault for once!!

My nails look like this at the moment :)

Glittery! At first, I'd had two layers of the turquoisey colour on it's own (Green with Envy by Rimmel 60 Seconds) which on it's own made me feel like a mermaid. Then I'd been looking through a bag of small jokey christmas presents I'd been given by my mum and pulled out (drumroll please) the glitter/sequin cover! It's from New York Colour and it's got silver glitter and pink and blue tiny sequins; I love it!

Nice and fresh for spring, but also jazzy for in the night-time :)

There may be a second post today, depends on whether my camera decides to upload all the pictures I took yesterday or not!

Blog Awards

They make me smile :)

The other day, I received one from Chloe at Chloe In Reality -

For which I now have to write Sevens facts about myself from... Here goes!

1. I crack my knuckles... Like all the time :) There's just something therapeutic about it!!
2. I drink a lot of tea. I mean a lot - at least 4 or 5 big mugs each day... or else I'd die; and we don't want that now do we?
3. I like having my nails painted bright colours. It sounds obvious, but when I'm feeling down and you look at your hands and just see this flash of colour, well, it cheers me up immediately.
4. I over-analyse films. But in a good way, so that you can understand the characters properly - then the whole film seems better!
5. I've only ever cried at one film; The Notebook. I'm not really a crier, but this film was so beautiful. Plus I want her swimsuit :)
6. I dye my hair quite a bit, at the moment, it's kind of Purpley-Red
7. I really like blogging, even if no-one reads it or people don't like it it makes me happy. I love everything about it really. I love reading other people's blogs and seeing their opinions - horizon brightening much?

And now I've got to tag 7 people who I think also have beautiful blogs; I've done them alphabetically :)

Caroline @ COSMICaroline
D @ Heart Shaped Bruise
Kavita @ I Heart Vintage
Hannah @ London Rose
Alice @ Paper Heart
Sadie @ Sadie's Wardrobe
Charlie @ Vampires And Cardigans

Check out their blogs; they're all wonderful and they all have lots of different opinions but most of all, they're all really cool girls :)

Anthropologie, Regent Street

It's taken me about a month to post this, I get distracted easily. However, this post is all about Anthropologie, Regent street, London. My trip was in the half-term and I just wish I had unlimited cash because I'd buy everything in this shop!

I'd like to start off with a very simple fact and it is thus; I love everything about this shop. The amount of detail put into it is incredible. For instance, this floor list shows a rough idea of what's on each floor, but it's been hand made using multiple layers and prints and it's just damn cool.

- The answer is yes; who doesn't want a Paper Mache Bear on their dinner table?

- I just thought this was cute, I like how they've gone to the effort of having the sewn line on it.

- They have a wall of plants. Yes, they're real! I've been told that they get watered by rainwater from the roof or something like that...

- Sorry, this photo is awful quality, but it's supposed to show these amazing lampshades that were completely recycled. The were made from all sorts like beads and bottle caps and things.

- Any shop with dragon content makes me smile, especially when they're cute framed drawings like these!

- I thought that the colourful wall looked really good because it was right next to an uber colourful bed! Plus, there were lots of drawing of exotic birds on the walls which gave it this awesome 'Urban Jungle' vibe.

- Recycling to the max! The bottles were so mesmerising! When I was paying for my mug (yes, I bought my 'A' mug!) I looked up and realised some of them even had paint drips on them to look like spilt wine.

- Last, but not least, on a chair that wasn't even for sale, they had bears... that I don't believe were for sale :') And that's why I loved this shops, all these little quirks that make it like a wonderland of discovery. It's how I wanted my parents shop to be, but there was never enough space.

All in all, I adore this shop, I'm so glad I went! I'd been following Anthropologie for ages and I was so happy when I found out they'd opened here... it just took me a while to get down to London to visit it!! So, if you're ever in London, or relatively near, or you just fancy a day out, drop in an spend an hour or so there :') I bet it'd be possible, it's so gorgeous. My mum gave up after about 2 minutes and sat on a sofa because she knew I'd be looking around for ages!

Mmmmm, friday! Means I get to see a certain someone tomorrow; things are looking up :)

Vampires and Cardigans

The lovely Charlie of Vampires and Cardigans is having a giveaway to celebrate reaching 50 followers! I'm jealous =] Anyways, Charlie has a really cool blog and and excellent wardrobe, so even if you're not interested in the giveaway (why wouldn't you be?!) you should give her blog a peek!
"The winner will recieve these three items: A River Island purse, a vintage floral scarf and a cute rose-clip elasticated belt. If there are a lot of entries I will also have one - or possibly two - runner up prizes, yet to be decided. "
The link to her blog is here, but if you want to jump straight into the giveaway, click here.

Another post coming straight up - remember I went to London a few weeks ago? I never told you all about my visit to Anthropologie and I just found the pictures on my computer, so I hope you enjoy looking at all the beautiful things in the shop like I did!

Absolutely Alice

I went mini-shopping with my friend today, she was looking for jeans, I was almost her personal shopper, it was beautiful :')
Various shops and no luck later, we ended up in New Look where I found this denim dress. It's £25 which is a lot on my limited budget, but I might be able to scrape it. But I'm not entirely sure about it, what do you think?

I've never really been one for denim, other than on my legs, but I actually really liked this dress. I know there's a bit of a denim trend going on at the moment, but I've chosen to ignore it!

However, there was a woman at my bus stop yesterday and I thought she looked really cool. She had on a woolly grey granny cardi, a blue denim shirt and a black pencil skirt. I would've felt a bit awkward taking a photo to be honest so you'll just have to imagine it! She looked on-trend whilst still keeping an air of originality and cool. Plus, she had bright orange dyed hair! Tres cool. On that note, I need to re-dye my hair; the purple faded fast :/ sad times.

Back to the denim dress! If I bought it, I'd have to wear it with this stunning nail varnish from OPI

It's called 'Absolutely Alice' - a nod to Alice in Wonderland, which I still haven't seen! S0meone take me? My sister just bought it and it looks absolutely incredible. I can't wait for an excuse to steal it!!

I have a lovely post lined up for tomorrow, so catch you then, for now I have about 60 A3 pages of coursework to do for DT tomorrow... Wish me luck? I'll need it...
